London / New York, 19 April 2017 – CloudMargin, the multi-award winning creator of the world’s first web-based collateral and margin management solution, announced today the hiring of Laurence Jones and Marc Desanges to further the firm’s sales efforts globally.
Jones, now CloudMargin Sales Executive in New York, joins the U.S. sales team with 12 years of experience in operations management and leadership across collateral, clearing and over-the-counter derivatives. Desanges, based in London, is Sales Executive in charge of business development for French-speaking countries and southern Europe. He is multilingual.

Jones said: “The field of collateral management has seen a wealth of change over the past 12 to 18 months, and it’s really moved to the forefront as the new bilateral margin rules started to stagger into effect beginning Sept. 1 last year. Having worked on a number of large installations in my career, I’ve never seen this kind of swift deployment.”
Jones spent the last six years at the London Clearing House (LCH), where he served for the last two years as Head of Collateral Operations, leading the operations in both London and New York. He previously worked in operations on the design, launch and build-out of the LCH FX clearing service, ForexClear, managing its operations in London and New York as Senior Vice President, FX Operations. Prior to LCH, he held collateral and operations positions at Lloyds Banking Group, JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch.
Desanges has 10 years of financial services experience, including the past five years in London in charge of business development for collateral management, risk and compliance solutions. From 2012, he served as Head of Business Development of the EMEA region for SunGard. In 2015, he assumed the role of Sales Manager, EMEA for FIS, where he led the business development team for the department selling risk and compliance software. Beginning in 2016, he was Sales Executive for Lombard Risk, in charge of its collateral management solution. Prior to 2012, Desanges was an auditor and business analyst in Luxembourg and Paris.
